Helping You Return to What Matters Most

Craig believes rehabilitation is about more than reducing pain —it's about restoring confidence and helping people get back to living the life they want.

He enjoys working with people who are motivated to improve, whether they're preparing for a sporting event, returning to work, keeping active with their family or simply wanting to move more comfortably.

His approach is built around listening carefully, understanding what matters to each individual and creating a rehabilitation programme that is realistic, progressive and tailored to their goals.

Areas of Clinical Interest

Craig has a particular interest in:

  • Running injuries

  • Patellofemoral (kneecap) pain

  • Foot and ankle rehabilitation

  • Sports injuries

  • Rehabilitation for young athletes (8–18 years)

  • Strength and conditioning

  • Exercise rehabilitation

  • Return-to-running programmes

  • Tendon rehabilitation

  • Shockwave therapy for persistent tendon pain

Whilst Craig enjoys treating active individuals, he also welcomes anyone experiencing musculoskeletal pain, regardless of age or sporting background.

Craig's Approach to Rehabilitation

Craig believes the best rehabilitation starts by understanding the person, not just the injury.

His assessments focus on identifying the underlying causes of pain, understanding your goals and explaining the rehabilitation process in a way that's easy to understand.

Treatment is centred around:

  • Thorough assessment and movement analysis

  • Evidence-based rehabilitation

  • Progressive exercise programmes

  • Education and self-management

  • Strength and conditioning

  • Hands-on treatment where appropriate

  • Regular testing and measuring of progress

Manual therapy is used selectively, particularly during the early stages of recovery when it can help improve comfort, confidence and movement. However, Craig believes long-term recovery comes from progressive loading, movement and empowering patients to manage their own rehabilitation.

Shockwave Therapy

Craig provides extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) as part of Redrock Physio's evidence-based approach to treating persistent tendon conditions.

Shockwave therapy can be an effective treatment option for conditions including:

  • Achilles tendinopathy

  • Plantar fasciopathy

  • Patellar tendinopathy

  • Tennis elbow

  • Greater trochanteric pain syndrome (gluteal tendinopathy)

  • Calcific shoulder tendinopathy

Shockwave therapy is always combined with a structured rehabilitation programme, ensuring patients receive the best possible long-term outcomes rather than relying on passive treatment alone.

Sport and Performance

Sport has always been a significant part of Craig's life.

Originally coming from a running background, he has competed in triathlon for over ten years and understands first-hand the physical and mental challenges that injuries can create. He is currently preparing for his first Ironman event.

Craig has also worked within football and continues to support his local triathlon club, giving him valuable insight into the demands of training, competition and returning safely to sport.
