My Story
Anna is an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist with 30 years’ practice in the UK and overseas. She specialises in back pain, lower‑limb sports injuries, pelvic girdle pain and pelvic instability, and women’s musculoskeletal health (including menopause). She also brings CBT‑informed strategies and mindfulness to support people living with persistent pain, and uses trigger point therapy where helpful.
Alongside her clinical role at Redrock Physio, Anna is a Senior Lecturer in musculoskeletal physiotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire, keeping her approach current and evidence‑led.

How Anna’s Approach May Differ
-
Menopause‑aware physiotherapy: tracking symptoms and patterns, tailoring strength/load for tendon and bone health, sleep and recovery strategies, and collaborative care with your GP or menopause specialist when appropriate
-
Pelvic girdle pain & pelvic instability: SIJ‑friendly strategies, hip/pelvic control, load modification, and practical advice for sleep, transfers and lifting
-

Inflammatory arthritis support: close liaison with rheumatology; joint protection, activity planning and strength work alongside medical treatment
-
Runner‑focused care: graded return, gait and strength focus, and training‑load advice grounded in real‑world running experience
Menopause‑Aware Physiotherapy (Spotlight)
Hormonal changes can influence tendon health, joint stiffness, sleep and recovery. Anna considers these factors in assessment and planning, using strength training, progressive loading, and symptom‑pattern tracking to support confident activity and sport participation through perimenopause and beyond.
Pelvic Instability & Symptom‑Pattern‑Informed Pilates
Pelvic instability and pelvic girdle pain can affect walking, turning in bed, stairs and lifting—often noticed postpartum but also at other life stages. Anna blends Clinical Pilates with targeted hip/pelvic control work and practical load‑modification strategies to restore confident movement.
Runners & Lower‑Limb Clinic
Whether you’re building mileage, rehabbing after a race, or stuck in a boom‑and‑bust cycle, Anna balances training load with tissue capacity so you can return to running with confidence.
