Lower Back Pain & Sciatica

Redrock Physio

Helping you move with less pain — hands-on, personal, and evidence-led care in St Albans

We Treat The Person, Not Just The Spine

Your first session includes a detailed biomechanical assessment — not just of your spine, but how your whole body functions. We look at patterns like lower cross syndrome, hypermobility, and other postural or movement imbalances.

No generic knee hugs or copied exercise sheets — you’ll receive a clear, video-based plan tailored to your needs.

Common Conditions We Treat

  • Sciatica and nerve-related leg pain

  • Disc irritation or prolapse

  • Hypermobile or unstable lower backs

  • Joint dysfunction and posture-related back pain

  • Chronic desk-based pain patterns

Our Approach

Sessions are positive and structured. We blend manual therapy, pacing advice, Pilates-based rehab, and functional strength work. When needed, we use shockwave, taping, and other supportive tools. And if things don’t improve, we ensure a fast onwards referral.

What to Expect

  1. Session 1: Assessment, soft tissue/manual therapy, and personalised video plan

  2. Session 2–3: Mobility and pain reduction focus

  3. Session 4+: Rehab, strength and integration with Pilates if suitable

Most people need 4–6 sessions. More complex cases: 10–15 sessions.

Trusted by Consultants

We frequently receive referrals from spinal and orthopaedic consultants, including Mr James Langdon at Spire Hospital for conservative and post-operative spinal care.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing you can move in. Gym gear or shorts and a t-shirt work well.

Will I get exercises?

Yes — tailored and filmed for you personally, not printed from a sheet.

Do I need a scan first?

Usually not. We’ll advise if a referral or imaging is needed.
